my glass and my growler of the bruery’s humulus xpa. they are the nearest high quality brewery to my home and, sadly, that’s the only style they do that i really like.

older viscosity from port is reminiscent of port - wine that is. nothing like making that last drink of the night a twelve percenter.

so you wanna make yer own cilantro-serrano martini? you’ll need a handful of life giving cilantro, a serrano chili or three (use jalapenos if you insist on being a loser), some limes, some ice to crush, and vodka (but you already have that).
muddle the hell out of the limes, serranos, and cilantro. add vodka (i used about 4 shots for two martinis), and fill it up with crushed ice. at this point you can add a little agave nectar or simple syrup (just a bit!!) to tidy things up a bit. i did for these and it creates a nice balance.
shake it. sit it; trust me on this one. let the shaker sit for at least 5 minutes.
strain it. drink it.
i used three serranos this time and it was a spicy mother effer. it brings a nice burn.

look, this is what i do instead of taking care of kids, ok? STOP JUDGING ME!!!

just a thursday evening in the ‘hood.
